I’m a public historian who enjoys writing about books, their history, and the people behind them. I create hand-bound books with creative versions of historical bindings, which you can purchase on this site. I have my master’s degree in history from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, have taken part in internships handling rare books and archives at the American Antiquarian Society, and have trained in the book arts at the North Bennet Street School in Boston as well as other places. I am currently the Associate Editor of Biographer’s International Organization, where I edit their monthly newsletter, The Biographer’s Craft.

It's a great day for book binding! I'm working on a new book with new-to-me paper. I'm excited about this--it will be so nice to take notes about natural things in a slightly more natural notebook!
Since I have a press for bookbinding, I figured why not put it to use in other ways? I put these plants in there about a month ago. I love how they came out--not bad for my first time doing it.
