Rocket Day at the Ecotarium!

July 25th was Rocket Day at the Ecotarium science museum in Worcester, MA, and I crewed a table there for Aldrich Astronomical Society! It was so much fun. There were lots of kids, lots of questions, and lots of astro-mania. Several kids came up to me and told me that they wanted to be astronomers or astronauts. We had a few old-school Viewmasters with photos from Apollo 11, Hubble, and the James Webb Space Telescope that were a huge hit. I showed off our club’s new Dwarf Mini smart telescope that was generously donated by Dwarf Labs, and people enjoyed seeing how it worked. And of course our collection of meteorites was a big hit as well. After the event was over, I got a special tour inside the newly renovated observatory! Aldrich used to use the observatory years and years ago, then it wasn’t used for a long time. Now it’s going to be used for Ecotarium programming again!
